Bamboo is a very interesting material with special characteristics. Especially from an environmental point of view, it has many advantages in comparison with, for example, cotton. Bamboo is easier to grow ecologically with less environmental impact due to its irrigation, spraying, growing on slopes (not cultivating fields), pest control, harvested by hand, giving 20 times more fiber per unit surface than cotton. Bamboo is lighter and softer than cotton and has antibacterial properties. Bamboo can be used for most garments, but is especially suitable for socks.
